CARTER - COACHING APP pays particular attention to protecting its users' data, especially where the app is used with under-age players. This policy sets out what is collected, what it is used for, who has access to it, and what your rights are. It applies to the cartercoachingapp.com website and to the Carter - Coaching App application.
Data controller

Data collected
- Account data: e-mail address, first and last name, role (director, coach, player).
- Sporting data: club and team, attendance, sessions, assessments and progress.
- Technical data: device identifier, connection logs, anonymised usage statistics.
No sensitive data (health, origin, opinions) is requested. Assessments relate solely to sporting practice.
Where the data comes from
A director's or coach's data is entered by that person when creating their account.
A player's data is usually entered by their club or coach, who adds them to a team. In that case the player, or their legal guardian if they are a minor, is informed by the club and can read this policy at any time. The club undertakes to enter only the data of people it has informed.

No data is sold, rented or passed on to third parties. No automated decision with legal effects is made on the basis of this data.
Recipients and processors
Data is accessible to the publisher and, for team data, to the directors and coaches of the club concerned, within the limits of their role. A player only sees their own data.
The following providers act on the publisher's behalf:
- OVH SAS (Roubaix, France): hosting of the website, the application and its API. Data is stored in France.
- The transactional e-mail provider, solely to deliver the sign-in code to your address.
- Apple and Google distribute the application through their stores under their own policies and do not receive team data.
Data is not transferred outside the European Union.
Retention
- Account data: for as long as the service is used, then deleted or anonymised within twelve months of the last sign-in.
- A player's sporting data: for as long as they belong to a team, then deleted or anonymised within twelve months of their removal from their last team.
- Connection logs: twelve months at most.
- Usage statistics: kept in anonymised form only.
Minors
The application is used within a supervised sporting environment. An under-age player is registered under the club's responsibility and, where the player is under fifteen, with the consent of their legal guardian, which the club undertakes to obtain. Data about minors is limited to what the sporting follow-up strictly requires and is never used for commercial purposes.
A legal guardian may at any time request access to, rectification or deletion of their child's data at the address given below.
Security
Account access relies on a single-use code sent by e-mail; no password is stored. Exchanges with the application are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to data is restricted to the people who need it to run the service.
Cookies and trackers
The cartercoachingapp.com website sets no cookies or trackers requiring consent and uses no third-party audience measurement tool. The application embeds no advertising SDK.
Your rights
You have the following rights over your data:
- access, rectification and erasure;
- restriction of processing and portability;
- objection, for processing based on legitimate interest;
- instructions on what happens to your data after your death, as provided by French law.
To exercise these rights, write to cartercoachingapp@gmail.com stating the e-mail address of your account. You will receive a reply within one month. If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
This policy may change as the service evolves. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. In the event of a substantial change, users are informed in the application or by e-mail.
